From day one our expert teams across our footprint have met and overcome a variety of challenges in a highly professional and responsive manner. This is a trait we hope you would expect and have become accustomed to when working with Care Advantage.
We continue to proactively review and bolster our already robust protocols. We have especially focused on clinical and operational aspects, client safety and service.
SAFETY FIRST
We quickly created a COVID Task Force, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach and involving individuals from across our footprint to ensure we factored in all variables. This group began and continues to meet regularly, to ensure that we address infection prevention and the implementation of administrative and work practice controls, as well as personal protective equipment. Open channels of communication have been key on all fronts, and our COVID-19 Resource Center on our web site has acted as an info hub where you can find videos, updates and other useful information.
PREVENTIONS & PRECAUTIONS
Universal precautions are a major part of what we do in home healthcare, but we put an elevated level of adherence on this due to COVID-19. We have been extending additional in-services or trainings around transmission-based precautions and the Coronavirus. We health screen all employees daily to ensure prompt identification as well as enforce that employees must stay home when they are sick. We also health screen all clients at multiple levels and have increased clinical touch points across our footprint to ensure we mitigate any risks and prepare accordingly for all situations.
TRIED & TESTED
One of the biggest breakthroughs when it comes to the mitigation of risks during this time is our ability to extend COVID-19 testing. This capability further ensures the safety and well-being of those we serve and those that serve those individuals. We perform drive thru testing in some areas and are utilizing a resource for At-Home Testing across our entire footprint. The implementation of testing has supplemented measures to greatly reduce the potential for transmission.
PREPARED & READY
As a clinical leader I have been extremely proud of the thought and attention that has been placed on the safety of our clients, our caregivers, and our staff during this unprecedented time. We serve a very vulnerable population and our ability to adapt and quickly react has kept them safe and at home, where they want to be most. Our caregivers have been able to continue the amazing work that they do and feel protected while doing so.
We are stronger than ever and prepared to securely serve those that need us most.
